They are forecasting a snowy Christmas for the first time in like a decade, so I’ve been tinkering at Wheeler’s Motorcycle Shop getting prepared to make the best of it. Here are a few of the photos I’ve been posting…
I ordered some carbon fiber wheels back in September, and they finally came in. Also had Wheeler get me some snow/ice studs to put on the tires on stock wheels. fiber wheels back in September that finally came in, and I had Wheeler get me some snow/ice studs to put into some tires for the stock wheels so we can play in the white stuff. First up was the most nerve-wracking part… After a very methodical process and forgetting to warm the cold tire up, it finally was on and took way too much pressure to set the bead. *eek* Next up was this sexy boi… Warmed this tire up in front of the heater so it went on with much less fuss. I couldn’t fit both wheels in the front seat without them touching the carbon fiber parts, which is OFF LIMITS from any contact other than tire changes, so I put the front wheel/tire in the back here. 🙂 Next was to finish studding the rear tire… 720 studs later, I was never so happy to see that last row going in. And this was before I went back and clocked each stud to what I felt was the best orientation for grip. Onto Wheeler’s lift to mount them up… I was/am concerned about snow packing into the studs and making them ineffective, so I did what I could and hosed them down with silicone spray oil. Time for a few beauty shots… Wheeler’s shop makes for a sweet backdrop… This place down the road was burning a bunch of timber, so I took the opportunity to get some fire photos… Alright until next time, I hope to have some shots/vids of playing in the snow for you guys next. Again follow along and support us over at Klub129.com Thank you!
