Thursday - December 16, 2004

Yesterday was my birthday. Lori hooked me up with a mean cake:

The rains were pretty heavy last week, and many of the area dams were overflowing. Here's Cheoah dam (by Tapoco Lodge - the one used in the movie Fugitive) day shot and night shot.

Santeetlah dam pictured below is tough to spot during most of the year due to the foliage. Not the best shot, I'll hike down and get a better shot soon.

While I was shooting Fontana lake and dam, I spotted this Lynx. She had a baby with her, but it ran off into the weeds, momma here stood around for a few seconds checking me out, allowing me to get this crappy shot. (it was getting really dark, actually raining)

Lori got a Jack Russell pup for Christmas. I think he saw one of our pet wolf spiders...they like to try on our shoes.

I'll try not to run it into the ground, but you gotta admit the little son of a bitch is cute.

It's a chilly time of year to be a puppy. He turned 2 months old Tuesday so we got him a squeaky santa.

Anyone who even remotely keeps up with the news has probably seen this, but while digging around the Australian Motorcycle News website, (which is runnin an article featuring our photos) I ran across these 2 bikes. The first is the Yamaha "Tricker Pro". It's a crossover for the BMX and Motocross and Trials riders. 200 pounds, 249cc single - I WANT ONE. If anyone out there works with Yamaha and can give me any info on how to acquire one of these, I'll be in your debt forever. Also check out the KTM RC8 P1 - 990cc V-twin.

Type in your favorite band.
