Thursday - July 22, 2004 Okay, last weekend's photos are finally online...hit a few snags as usual. I totally forgot to highlight the KatanaPlanet.com photoshoot we did Saturday morning on Hwy 28. There are some sweet shots in there. Not to toot our own horn, but we will have our shots featured in no less than 5 magazine's next issues - Roadbike, Super Streetbike, Supermoto Racer, Moto Euro, and Two Wheels Only. (big euro mag that appearantly doesn't have a website) Plus we will probably pick up photography duties for Kevin Schwantz Suzuki School. So, toot toot. =) Wednesday - July 21, 2004 Finally getting caught up on orders...I'm only a week behind now. Shots from last weekend are uploading now, so they should be online in our store by the time you read this. Last weekend at the Gap was kinda weird...Friday and Saturday were low traffic, but it kept coming through in clustered bunches. I think everyone hangs out at one end or the other and forgets to ride until they hear others take off, then it's "oh yeah, let's go ride". Then they have to deal with traffic. I could be wrong. Sunday was awesome. Some storms came through Saturday evening and cooled things down...there was just a cool breeze blowing and lots of people out enjoying the roads. One of Blount County's Sheriffs stopped by Sunday and chatted with me for about an hour. He was cool and just out to keep folks in check. When he got there that morning he saw all the trees down in the road and called in the DOT to clear the roads for us first thing. They were finished by the time I got there. (noon) He had been hanging out earlier in a very fast section of the Gap and wrote a couple of minor speeding tickets. He could have probably ran his pen out of ink if he wanted. Still, there were a lot of tractor-trailers for a weekend, and the TN DMV have stated that all vehicles are held to the same traffic control (lane) restrictions. Lori escorted one truck driver who was visibly shaken after driving through. He couldn't believe that trucks were allowed to pass through there, and the lack of signs gave him no warning. By the time he got into the curves, he was trapped and had to drive all the way through. This weekend is Miata weekend, so come see the show...should be about 400+ and very few are stock. On to some highlights! Lori escorts the semi carrying PROPANE tanks. Yikes. Watch out for the mess in the road! My boy Brad got a new ZX-6R. My boy Dustin shows some love. A sweet ACR Viper came out to play Plenty of cruiser action. (I got your shot pink baby ;) This cat was pimpin' his mom's Beemer...momma got flavah. The Hummer was looking for a place to pass. Whoa Nellie! Crazy trike. Crazy beard. |
