Wednesday - May 12, 2004 Big thank you for all the love you guys and girls have been showing since my little mishap. I haven't been able to reply to all of your emails, but they are all read and saved. I'm healing up pretty good...the foot is yellow from the shin down and looks like I pee'd on it. The shoulder looks better with hardly any sign of damage. I still can't lift my arm from the shoulder, but it doesn't hurt much. Lori and I got out last Saturday and shot some. I did okay as long as I could rest my "bad" arm on my thigh to support the camera lens. The bike came out pretty good. The frame sliders my boys Jacob and Noah at One Eleven Sportbike made for me worked great. The side fairings came out with only one small crack...no scratches! No controls were broken and there was no structural damage. To answer some common questions: Yes that is a colored retread from Tomahawk tires. It was sticking really well, but it was out of round (not a balance issue) as was every Tomahawk tire we tried. It wasn't very bad, but I could feel it hopping slightly when I was hard on the brakes. I don't think any tire could have kept me from crashing in the situation I was in. The denim in the background of the first 2 shots is a guy roadside with a video camera. No he didn't get it on video. =( So okay, moving on to last weekend's photos... Local Harold and a sidecar'd Bandit. Cars having fun. That's just mean. Rare(ish) bikes chick-n-a-vespa Careful baby...a little early on your turn in. - Nicer line...your bare skin scares me though. Cute Different strokes |
